How to set the voltage mode after HP updates the bios;

On HP laptops, you can enable or disable the adaptive battery optimizer to extend the service life by optimizing the battery pack. According to Hewlett-Packard Company, this feature is currently only applicable to its business laptops.

If you are using an HP laptop, please follow these steps to enable the adaptive battery optimizer and configure the battery health settings:

1. If the HP laptop is turned on, please turn it off.

2. Press the power button to restart the computer. When the computer starts, start pressing F 10 to enter the HP BIOS setup utility.

3. After entering the BIOS, use the right arrow key to open the configuration tab. If not, please open the advanced tab.

4. Use the down arrow key and select Adaptive Battery Optimizer. If not, select the power management option.

5. Press Enter and select Enabled to open Adaptive Battery Optimizer.

6. If your system has power management options, please select the drop-down menu of the Battery Health Manager, and then select Maximize my battery health. This setting maximizes battery health by reducing the maximum battery charge to 80%.

7. Press F 10 to save the changes and exit.

If there is no adaptive battery optimizer or battery health management option in the BIOS, try updating the BIOS. You can scan your laptop for new BIOS updates on the HP software and driver download page. Then, click Let HP test your product and follow the instructions on the screen to find the updates for your system.

You can use the HP BIOS Update and Recovery Utility to install updates, or you can perform manual updates by accessing System Diagnostics.
