Harm of toluene and its removal method

Danger:

Toluene is irritating to the skin and has anesthetic effect on the central nervous system. If people inhale high concentration of toluene in a short time, it will cause acute poisoning, obvious symptoms of eye and upper respiratory tract irritation, congestion of eyes and pharynx, dizziness, headache, nausea, vomiting, chest tightness, weakness of limbs and confusion. In severe cases, restlessness, convulsions and coma may occur. Long-term exposure may cause chronic poisoning such as neurasthenia syndrome, hepatomegaly, dry skin and chapped skin.

Cleaning method:

Benzene and benzene homologues mostly come from paints or coatings, while benzene with strong smell mostly comes from wallpaper, carpets and furniture surfaces. Therefore, after the renovation of the new home, it is necessary to ventilate the room to reduce the smell of benzene. Note that the renovation of the new home cannot be moved into the new home immediately after the renovation, and it needs to be put on hold for several months, so as to make the decoration smell disappear before living. However, this measure is not enough to remove benzene. To solve the problem of excessive benzene release, the most important method is to choose water-based paint or more environmentally friendly paint. At the same time, when painting or coating construction is carried out, the interval between the first pass and the second pass will be increased, that is, the drying time of the first pass of paint will be increased to avoid excessive accumulation of benzene substances.
