Geological landform
800 million years of seabed accumulation, crustal movement and transgression history laid the foundation for the rich sedimentary rocks in Huangshan area. By 200 million years ago, the land of Huangshan was completely raised to the land. In the early Cretaceous, the underground granitic magma rose and invaded the surface stratum, and solidified into the embryonic form of Huangshan rock mass. Himalayan orogeny in Cenozoic Tertiary and Quaternary generally uplifted the crust, and the huge sedimentary cover on granite was eroded by glaciers, eventually forming a granite peak forest with an altitude of 1000 meters, looking at the sky! Along with this earth-shaking process, the sedimentary rocks on the surface around Huangshan Mountain also show an ever-changing shape. Quaternary glaciers left traces in China and formed a U-shaped canyon in Shimen Gorge. Donghuangshan Formation belongs to Cambrian, and the rocks are black tabular calcareous shale and limestone, and some areas are rich in stony coal seams.

In the alpine area near Huangshan Mountain in the south, crops are slightly later than those in Fan area, and deciduous trees wither earlier.
