Health managers are divided into several grades.

Health managers are divided into three grades.

They are: health manager level 3 (senior professional qualification), health manager level 2 (technician professional qualification) and health manager level 1 (senior technician professional qualification). Health manager is a practitioner who is engaged in health, analysis, evaluation, health maintenance and health promotion of human or personal health and diseases.

As stated in the National Professional Skills Standard for Health Managers issued by National Health Commission for all levels, level III/senior workers mainly highlight skills and the need to complete tasks as required, while level II/technician and level I/senior technician focus on mastering technology, with extensive professional knowledge and ability to solve difficult problems.

Declaration conditions:

Have one of the following conditions, can declare the level 3/senior workers:

1. Having obtained the relevant professional qualification certificate (skill level certificate), he has been engaged in this occupation or related occupations for more than 5 years (inclusive).

2. Have a college degree or above in this major or related major (including fresh graduates who have not yet obtained a diploma).

3. Have a college degree or above in a non-related major, and have been engaged in this occupation or related occupations for more than 2 years (inclusive).

4. Have a technical secondary school degree or above in this major or related major, and have been engaged in this occupation or related occupation for more than 3 years (inclusive).

Note: At present, there are no first-class and second-class health manager exams in China.
