What are the different practice sequences?

The Three Zangs and Twelve Classics mentioned by the Buddha can be roughly divided into eight orders. We are here today, combining with the most sensitive issues in practice, to sit down, and to what level we belonged before we met Hokkekyo and Shurangama Sutra.

The first time is called the method of cultivating people-how to get a person in the afterlife. This basic law is to adhere to the three precepts and convert to the three treasures of Buddhism, Buddhism and Buddhism. No killing, no stealing, no lewdness, no lying, no drinking, you can get someone in the afterlife. If you keep the five commandments perfectly, your life will be perfect. If there are mistakes, your life will not be perfect. With human nature, why are some people rich in health and longevity, while others are mean, poor and short-lived and sick? This is the degree of holding the five commandments.

The second time is to repair the sky-repair the sky. The 28th floor of Heaven is an ordinary person of the six divisions in the Karma Wheel. It is a further improvement to add ten good practices to the Five Commandments. The above three commandments of killing, stealing and fornication are called "three virtues". Nonsense, it is divided into "no evil mouth, no two tongues, no nonsense, no nonsense", and it is divided into "four goodness". The so-called "not bad mouth"-good words are better said, and some people's good words will taste bad in their mouths; The so-called two tongues-you can't sow discord behind your back; The so-called no lies-no lies; There is no nonsense, no boring words. This adds up to seven good things. The other, from our point of view, should not be.

"Greed, anger and delusion"-don't covet fame and fortune; Don't hold a grudge against others, don't hold a grudge, and don't treat all good people and even bad people with bad feelings.

If you can do these ten good things, you can by going up one flight of stairs; Ten good deeds are added to the ground, and the so-called "not reaching the ground" means that meditation is not thorough and cannot reach the realm of first meditation. Can rise to the third, fourth, fifth and sixth floors, which is the desire for heaven; If you practice meditation again, you can go to the first meditation, the second meditation, the third meditation and the fourth meditation, and you can go to the twenty-fourth floor; In addition to these four Zen Buddhism, adding four emptiness will definitely reach twenty-five, twenty-six, twenty-seven and twenty-eight, which is the so-called four emptiness and colorless world. The twenty-eighth floor of heaven is superior to the next floor, and each floor is superior to the life and wisdom of the next floor.

The third time, fixed small multiplication-fixed sound and smell method. It proves that Arhat has never surpassed the six divisions in the wheel of karma, and even the sky is gone. It's been more than 28 days. After the blessings of heaven and man are full, they will degenerate, from small to low, and then to the three evil ways. It proves that arhat will never fall in the six divisions of the wheel of karma. The masterpiece is Agama, which talks about the four noble truths of "struggling to establish the Tao". However, these fruitful people always maintain a lifeless life, also called free life, and he doesn't want to educate all beings in the six ways.

The fourth time is the method of cultivating the sense of karma-proving the Buddha's fruit position. The bhikkhu Buddha belongs to Mahayana, and its realm is higher than that of arhat. Some Buddhists can also come to this world from the void and realize some kind of fate with them. This predestined relationship refers to people who have predestined relationships in recent generations or decades.

Born, but he is not as wide as a bodhisattva. The representative work of practicing Buddhism is twelve karma. This is a general introduction, not a detailed analysis.

The fifth time is called Tibetan teaching-Tibetan teaching method, which we usually call multiplication. What do you call a Mahayana Buddhist practitioner? He is determined to be accompanied by 32 phases and 80 kinds, as good as Buddha; Open all beings like Buddha. Hair is Mahayana, and it is easy to repair! He is practicing six degrees of ten thousand lines, giving alms, keeping precepts, enduring humiliation, diligence, meditation, prajna and so on. His Prajna is Mahayana Prajna, and he started with tangible law. Representative works include Amitabha Sutra, Tibetan Sutra and Infinite Life Sutra. If he practices this method, he will never see nature clearly. If he practices it very well, he may die in bliss. However, the fruit position of the certificate cannot be called the Mahayana fruit position of righteousness, because he doesn't know that nature can surpass the six divisions in the wheel of karma like arhat and Buddha. Therefore, the metaphor of the founder is that there are many people who seek Tao and few people who get it. Some people say that out of 10,000 people, one may achieve two, while others say that 60,000 people may achieve one.

The sixth time is called general education-general education is higher than Tibetan education, and general education is what we call Zen. Starting from an empty door, he ruled out all tangible aspects, including 32 aspects of Buddhas and 80 kinds of accompanying goodness, all of which were judged as ignorance. This is the so-called "seeing the sky". His representative works include The Diamond Sutra, The Six Ancestors Tanjing, The Six Hundred Prajna Sutras and so on. This method is also difficult to practice. Master Hong Ren, the fifth ancestor of Zen Buddhism, said in The Theory of the Best, if you practice this method, you will be deprived of hope. It is almost impossible for people who can practice Zen and those who have more sand in Ganges to have such a root machine! A person in the galaxy may not have a fixed number of Ganges sands.

Pedestrians, even if there is such a man of practice, he will still "grab the hope of success" and it is difficult to achieve unlimited years.

Then, compared with the two methods of Buddhism, Buddhism will easily fail if it does not practice well. The Shurangama Sutra talks about the next 50 realms of yin and evil. But after a good repair, he can see clearly. His Tibetan religion will not fail, at least you will be blessed in the afterlife, but he will never see his heart clearly. Therefore, we should grasp these two methods well, the success rate is very low and the time is very long.

The five ancestors of Zen worship four ancestors and two generations. The fifth ancestor of the first life is 80 years old, his legs are bent and cross-legged, and he walks unsteadily. His dharma name is Elder Zaisong. What do you call Elder Zaisong? He sat there respectfully like a pine tree planted there. People think that he is too serious about meditation, and he is called Elder Uematsu. So the fourth ancestor teased him, and the fourth ancestor said that he was too old, so he changed his body, in fact, to see if he could stand there and come back from the dead. As a result, he was reborn in the belly of a big girl, and she was not married. You didn't spoil her! The girl Ma was kicked out of the house by her family because she was reborn. In the feudal society of the past, you said that a big girl was pregnant without getting married, which was a big violation.

A person can be reborn freely, and he can leave as he says, and he can be reborn without the life of a man or a woman. How capable do you think? Let's think about it. Now some so-called sects, such as the French King and the Living Buddha, will come again ... Can you compare with this man? This man is just an outsider in Buddhism, which involves some sensitive issues in our practice. I hope so.

We have some fellow initiates, so don't worry. We don't rely on people according to law, and Dafa doesn't rely on minor laws. We must seek truth from facts according to Buddhism, so that we can believe it. In the second year, I joined Sizu as an apprentice. I was about seven years old, and my fourth ancestor teased him that he was too young. At this time, he lost his temper. "I was too old in my last life, but I was too young in this life. When shall I come? " So Wuzu shaved him.

In other words, as soon as he came, he knew what had been passed down from generation to generation. Is this called fate? Such a person must have come to seek Buddhism. What did you say?/Sorry? Some of us are a little fatalistic, a little magical, so what ... what did you say? ! Ghosts have five kinds of magical powers, and when they arrive at Arahant, they have six kinds of magical powers, so they are all leaked. Help us get rid of superstitions and emancipate our minds.

Tang Xuanzang went to the Western Heaven to learn Buddhist scriptures and came to the Great Snow Mountain. Tang Xuanzang also opened his eyes and saw a man buried in the snow-capped mountains. He pulled open the snow and let him decide with three fingers. The man opened his eyes and asked, "Is Sakyamuni Buddha born?" ? Tang Xuanzang told him: "Sakyamuni Buddha has been extinct for more than 1000 years." "Then I will wait for Maitreya in my next life," he said, and then settled down. It can be seen that he stayed in the snow-capped mountains for more than 1000 years, maybe 1000 years, 10,000 years and 100 million years. He is also prepared to wait for Maitreya's next life, and he is also prepared to sit for another 5.67 billion years without eating, drinking or sleeping, and meditate there. This kind of kung fu is just heresy. What do you say if we meditate for a few days and nights? These methods are difficult. Put the difficult words first, and then you will know the way to cherish the easy, otherwise you will not know the vast territory and abundant resources.

So Tang Xuanzang told him to decide again. Ask him "You are sitting in this ghost hole" and tell him that he is sitting in a ghost hole: "Who told you after Maitreya came out?" He said, "Yes! What should we do? " "What should I do? Go to the Tang Dynasty to be reborn. When I come back from India, I will shave your head and worship me as a teacher. " Just like Wuzu, I leave when I say so. So when Tang Xuanzang came back after studying the scriptures for seventeen years, he went to Li Shimin and asked if this person was pregnant in the palace and when it should have been born. Li Shimin, have you checked? On closer inspection, it was found in General Weichi Gong's office. Because at that time, Tang Xuanzang said, "You will be reborn in the biggest one in the yard." Tang Xuanzang didn't mean to invite him into the palace, did he? But he has never seen the world. Seeing that Weichi Gong's mansion was also very big, he felt that there was nothing bigger.

Tang Xuanzang was already a playboy when he came back from the scriptures. He was told to shave his hair and said, "I won't do that," right? Li Shimin ordered him to become a monk for me, but he didn't dare to become a monk. But he put forward three conditions: "the first condition, give me a car full of meat;" The second condition, give me a car full of wine; Third condition, give me a car full of beautiful women. "Not a beautiful woman, but a car full of beautiful women, so the emperor is also worried: monks can't have beautiful women, but also a car full of beautiful women? Tang Xuanzang winks at the emperor. You promise him first.

Three-car monks came to Baima Temple, and all the monks in Baima Temple were beating gongs and drums! After hearing the sound of bells and drums, he reflected on his self-nature of past life practice, and was shocked into a cold sweat, waking up like a dream. He quickly returned three cars. When a student receives the classics and becomes the ancestor of the sages, this is the master of voyeurism. Do you think it's important to accept classics?

Coincidentally. In Zhong Nanshan, a Taoist lawyer also practiced Zen. To what extent do people in the sky send him food? At this time, Master Peeky went to visit him and said, "I heard that people from heaven brought you food. How about trying it today? " ? As a result, there was no one in the sky from morning till night, so I went to sleep if I couldn't eat. The voyeur snores as soon as he sleeps, and the preacher is good at keeping precepts. It is said that keeping precepts is the first thing. So it was his turn to be a man this morning: "You say, a good yogi doesn't know how to study hard, so why are you still sleeping?" How can a yogi be called a yogi when he sleeps and snores? It means you can't stand this meditation. What did Master Peeky say? He said, "You are not much better than me. A flea jumped on you and you tried to trample it to death. Where did your hatred come from? " ? But fortunately, it didn't hurt its life in the end and was thrown outside. The flea broke your leg, alas, alas, alas ...... didn't sleep well at all. "Hearing this, the Taoist priest froze: I was obviously snoring, and I threw a flea. How did he know? Dare not speak. Then the master peeked at him and said, "It's no use sitting in this ghost hole. I stayed in the snow-capped mountains for thousands of years and tens of thousands of years in my last life. What's the use? " Even so, Daoxuan's lawyer still didn't believe that Nezha, the third prince in the sky, brought him food after Master Peek Kee left. At this time, he complained, "I didn't come when I should have, but I came when I shouldn't have." Yesterday, a monk wanted to eat the food between heaven and man. If you send me something to eat, it will make my face grow, won't it? Nezha said, "How dare I come yesterday?" ? I've been here. I was the great bodhisattva here yesterday, do you know? The Great Bodhisattva has a clear heart! All the Shan Ye are protected by nature, so I can't get in. "Now he understood. So Mr. Dao Xuan finally wrote a preface to "Hong Chuan" for Hokkekyo. Did he read Goblet of Fire for enlightenment?

The seventh time is called "no teaching"-no teaching is an improvement on the basis of Zen teaching. But he can only get rid of ignorance and not become a Buddha, so is he more difficult to cultivate than general education? Representative works of other religions include Jue Yuan Jing, Zhixue Jing and Dafang Guangfo Huayan Jing. He entered through two doors, that is, "he is also free", so the Buddha mentioned in the Diamond Sutra is equivalent to the first bodhisattva in the Fire Eye Sutra and the Lengyan Sutra, which is 4 1 grade lower than the Fahua Buddha and the Lengyan Buddha. The Buddha in Dafang Guangfo Huayan Sutra is equivalent to the second bodhisattva in Jiao Yuan, which is 30 levels lower than the realm of Fahua Buddha and Lengyan Buddha.

By the eighth time, it was called Yuandun Dafa-the masterpiece of Shurangama Sutra, Infinite Righteousness Sutra, Critical Eye Sutra and Great Nirvana Sutra, and it was called Jiao Yuan Riding Dafa. The Infinite Righteousness Sutra is the front line of Hokkeyo, Nirvana Sutra is the end of Hokkeyo and Shurangama Sutra. The main classics are Hokkeyo and Shurangama Sutra, telling the whole story of the universe! It doesn't teach us how to recite Buddha, how to worship Buddha, how to do good, how to break evil, nothing. It just tells us the truth about life in the universe. How did people come from? How did Buddha, Bodhisattva, Heaven, Man, Ghost and Beast come from? How did the clouds, rain and fog come from? People and I are right or wrong, ups and downs, and all kinds of delusions are different. How did this consciousness come from? Understand the ins and outs of all laws, and we will further summarize them. What is the relationship between these infinite laws? How many buddhas are there in Shifang III? How many bodhisattvas? How many people? How many ghosts are there? How many days? How many drops of rain? How much wind?

Let's understand this truth, according to the Goblet of Fire and the Shurangama Sutra.

Take life and death as an example. The present ingredients are truth and Buddha, and they will never leave the six divisions in the wheel of karma. This is the minimum guarantee line, and it is not capped. From the initial bodhisattva to the status bodhisattva, the ten bodhisattvas, and the equal-sense bodhisattva, we can all achieve it with the next thought, and even become a complete Buddha like the dragon girl. Therefore, Dafa is a great circle, infinite robbery, infinite merit, and you can achieve it all your life, in a flash, and in a moment! It depends on how we listen to the classics, how you think and how you feel. The achievement is so fast, and the conditions are particularly relaxed-even criminals who commit the most heinous crimes can understand the truth of "Tathagata hiding" as soon as they read it. For example, the crime of Ganges sand is written off and the hell realm is turned into a Buddhist land. This is called "karma-disabled students". Everyone is 100%, one thousandth, not leaking, not falling, this is an incredible solution!

Master wrote four poems, one of which was Six Movements in a Moment. The so-called "six movements"-eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body and mind, are shaken when you understand the truth of "Tathagata hiding"! Shake what? Shake off our ignorance and evil knowledge about Jaken into Bodhi, shake off our knowledge of becoming a Buddha and Buddha's point of view, and a "discerning person" is a "discerning person". These are the words repeatedly said by the Buddha in the Beijing Jing Jing and the Shurangama Jing. Don't think that this is what Master Yin Guang said here.

Master swore to Tian Ming: All my teachings are proved by the golden words of Buddha. If you have any questions, ask questions on the spot, seek solutions on the spot, and I will give you answers on the spot! Get rid of all doubts and concentrate on Buddhism. Master's merit lies in saying to the Buddha, "Listen to the scriptures and smell the dharma, and become a Buddha now", and explain clearly why! The merit of a master is to work hard on "why". If you have any questions, you can ask them on the spot! So we must cherish this event very much.

The Dharma Meeting, Shurangama Sutra, and the Golden Eye are in the ten Buddha lands, and few people can make it clear. This is a kind word from Buddhists, and even the Buddha doesn't easily reveal such dharma. The Buddha said in the "Northern Jing Jing" that the Buddha did not talk about the Northern Jing Jing easily, but also talked about it in the "Lengyan Jing". It's really attractive, so I often don't do it.

So we are lucky to talk about such a great classic here today, and we should cherish it! The master has no status or fame; Neither the president nor the abbot; My dozens of small temples together are not as big as others. I advise you not to think that others speak lightly. You can choose the best one to explain the Jing Jing and Shurangama Jing, and bring the one you think you respect most. We can compare which paragraph Master said and see if Master made a mistake, which can help us strengthen our confidence.

So we first talked about the seven methods of people, heaven, sound, life, hiding, making friends and parting. I tell you, these seven methods are very, very difficult to repair and prove. You can understand it at first sight, and you can learn it as soon as you learn it, but it is difficult for you to finish it. It's not easy for you to get a person! Not to mention the Arhat body, not to mention Tibetan Buddhism, general Buddhism, not to mention teaching Buddhism. These teachings tell you that being nominal is a convenient guide for the Buddha. Why do you want to talk about this infinite method? I just want you to compare it with Hokkekyo and Shurangama Sutra, which are convenient guiding methods.

Therefore, these seven methods are called the first seven conveniences in Buddhism. Don't take convenience seriously! Think about it, it's so difficult, but Hokkekyo and Shurangama Sutra are so easy.

Just think about it and it will come true! Isn't it? The success rate of the first seven conveniences is so low, one in ten thousand, one in one hundred million and one in infinity. Hokkekyo and Shurangama Sutra are 100%, 1000%, 10000% or even 200%, 3000%, 100000%. How is100000/100000? How did it increase? Why should it become 200%? Because some of our fellow practitioners also have beings from various dharma circles, which is commonly called possession, isn't it? All these people are here, and he has achieved something now. This is the first priority, and the second priority, isn't it?

From this perspective, the former is the infinite robbery of Jin Muru, and the latter is the next thought. This is to help us choose the best and fastest way to achieve it. This is our general comparison and choice, and its incredible position in the Shurangama Sutra.

In the Shurangama Sutra, the Buddha said, for example, if you decide to become a Buddha, what are the difficulties and obstacles? What qualifications do you have? Would you like to get a certificate? I haven't changed a word of these two sentences, not a word, not a word. This passage means, "It's a piece of cake to be like a giant Buddha and a complete Buddha like Sakyamuni! What's the difficulty? Who told you to fix it hard and seriously? " This is what the Buddha said.
