After the Heihe Museum officially opened to the outside world on 1989, it has continuously launched various exhibitions to show the local natural products, history and culture, and achievements in economic and social development, closely centering on the historical orientation of comprehensive museums at the prefecture level. At the same time, we actively introduced all kinds of temporary exhibitions from inside and outside the province, which are healthy and progressive and have the significance of educational science popularization, and sang the main theme of the museum's foreign education.
The newly-born Oroqen idol in the collection was discovered when an Oroqen family demolished an old house in 1980. The gods and idols are packed in four long duck-billed birch boxes. These idols include 37 natural idols such as sun, moon, star, bird, snake, fish and turtle carved with sawdust; Sew 2 or 3 rows of wooden and lead composite idols with fur on them with a piece of cloth one foot square. There are also 17 gouache paintings pasted with cloth. This collection of Oroqen statues is unique in China in terms of variety and quantity.
The architectural style of the museum is simple and lively, and the external shape is a square stack of high and low. The front is paved with yellow and white tiles, and there are courtyards, flower beds and bell pavilions in front. The building adopts brick-concrete structure and long-span steel frame lintel.
There are four exhibition halls in the museum, with an area of 1000 square meters, and there is a horse gallery on the second floor, which can give a bird's eye view of the exhibition hall on the first floor.
The entrance hall of the museum is about 50 square meters, with the VIP lounge on the left and the panoramic sand table of Heihe city construction on the front. On the right is a map of Heihe region, showing the physical geography and administrative divisions of three cities (Heihe, Bei 'an and Wudalianchi) and four counties (Nenjiang, Dedu, Xunke and Sunwu) in Heihe region.
