The key to rural revitalization lies in people, especially the agricultural population. Man is the basic element of economic and social development. To realize rural revitalization, we should not only have sufficient human capital, but also have efficient human capital. However, the utilization efficiency of human capital elements depends on people's health, and people's health is not only physical health, but also mental health.
Recently, China's first blue book on mental health, China National Mental Health Development Report (20 17-20 18), was officially released. The report shows that about 2.6% of agricultural registered permanent residence citizens' mental health is "poor", and about 18.3% people's mental health is "poor", not in agricultural registered permanent residence. Considering that there are more than 900 million people in agricultural registered permanent residence, although the proportion is not much different, the absolute number is still huge. Paying attention to and solving the mental health problems of agricultural population in China has become an increasingly important content on the road of rural revitalization.
The mental health of the agricultural population has many manifestations. In addition to the well-known mental illness such as depression, there are many potential unhealthy emotions such as "waiting for help", anxiety and loneliness, which are not well known to the public. These unhealthy phenomena not only affect the social function of individuals, but also endanger the development of the whole group. Cases in which rural children have killed their mothers from time to time in newspapers for many years are painful lessons caused by mental health.
There are objective reasons for the mental health of agricultural population. On the one hand, the agricultural population mainly lives in rural areas, and the local medical and health conditions are relatively weak compared with those in cities, so it is impossible to provide accurate, effective and wide-ranging mental health services; On the other hand, with the advancement of industrialization and urbanization, the level of rural infrastructure lags far behind that of cities, the level of economic development is relatively backward, and the differences in income gap and living habits lead to great inadaptability.
Besides objective reasons, there are subjective reasons. On the one hand, with the influx of young people into cities, the elderly and children are generally left in the countryside, with poor living ability and poor communication, resulting in more emotional obstacles; On the other hand, for various reasons, the rural population who work in cities cannot really integrate into cities. The fast pace and high cost of urban life have squeezed the income level of rural population, causing more losses and setbacks.
Paying attention to the mental health of rural population in rural revitalization, on the one hand, we should increase investment to fill the shortcomings of rural infrastructure and public services, enhance the attractiveness of rural areas, especially strengthen industrial cultivation in rural areas, so that more rural people can get rich at home and alleviate the sense of loss of material comparison; On the other hand, it is necessary to increase humanistic care, build a scientific and perfect rural governance system, revitalize rural culture, let more young people return to the countryside, and make the elderly and children no longer lonely.
Only people who are physically and mentally healthy can give full play to their subjective initiative and make more contributions to the rural revitalization with prosperous industries, livable ecology, civilized rural customs, effective governance and affluent life.
