What are the signs or behaviors of mental unhealthy?

From a professional point of view, mental health and mental unhealthy are relative concepts. Mental health refers to a state in which a person's psychological activities are normal, the relationship is coordinated, the content of subjective reaction is consistent with the real stimulus, and his personality is relatively stable. This state is a relatively stable and balanced state. Under normal circumstances, this balance is achieved through the interaction between itself and the internal and external environment. However, the country and living environment are changing. When the internal and external environment changes greatly, this balance may be broken, and psychological activities may deviate, leaving psychological activities in a relatively unbalanced state. When psychological activities become relatively unbalanced and have a negative impact on the survival, development and stable quality of life of individuals, psychological activities are in a state of "psychological unhealthy". Mental unhealthy state is also a dynamic unbalanced process. As long as it is adjusted in time, the balance can be restored. Through the explanation of the concepts of mental health and mental unhealthy, we can find that whether mental health or mental unhealthy state, psychological function has not been destroyed, and there are no symptoms of "psychological disorder", so they all belong to the category of "normal psychology", but the level and degree of "normal psychology" are different. Therefore, mental health and mental unhealthy are normal psychological activities of people. Even if the mind is unhealthy, it is not abnormal, but the level of mental health is lower than that of the general population.

Professor Guo Nianfeng from the Institute of Psychology, Chinese Academy of Sciences put forward the criterion of 10, which is also easy to understand:

1. The intensity of psychological activity. When encountering mental shock, people with low resistance often react strongly, which is easy to leave behind future troubles; People with strong resistance, although reacting, are not strong and will not cause disease.

2. Mental activity tolerance. Chronic mental stimulation encountered in life and work for a long time will make people with poor tolerance miserable. After a period of time, there will be psychological abnormalities, personality changes, listlessness and even serious physical diseases. For people with strong endurance, although they have experienced some pains, they will not have serious mental problems in the end, and even make greater achievements in adversity.

3. Periodic rhythm. People's psychological activities have their own inherent rhythm in form and efficiency. Some people are not very efficient during the day and very efficient at night, while others are the opposite. If the natural rhythm of a person's psychological activities is often in a state of disorder, no matter what causes it, we can say that his mental health level has declined.

4. Level of consciousness. If a person can't concentrate on a certain job, can't concentrate on his thoughts, and often makes mistakes in his work because of "desertion" or distraction, he should be alert to mental health problems.

5. suggestive. People who are easily influenced by suggestibility are often prone to mood swings, vacillating thoughts and sometimes showing weak willpower because of some irrelevant factors. People who are not easily hinted at are the opposite.

6. Rehabilitation ability. That is, the ability to recover from traumatic stimuli to normal levels. Because in life and work, no one can avoid mental trauma. After mental trauma, the mood fluctuates greatly, the behavior changes temporarily, and even some physical symptoms appear. But because everyone's cognitive ability and experience are different, the time needed to recover from the blow will be different, and the degree of recovery will be different. People with a high degree of rehabilitation will recover faster and will not leave any serious traces, while people with a low degree of rehabilitation will take longer. When they recall this trauma again, their emotional performance is also different.

7. Psychological self-control. The intensity of emotion, the expression of emotion, the direction of thinking and the process of thinking are all realized under people's conscious control. When a person is physically and mentally healthy, psychological activities will be very comfortable, emotional expression will be very decent, speech will be very smooth, manners will be generous, not too formal, nor too casual. In other words, by observing a person's self-control ability, one can also judge his mental health level.

8. Self-confidence. When a person is faced with a life event or work task, he should first estimate his coping ability. Some people may overestimate and some people may underestimate. Too high self-evaluation can easily lead to the failure of practical operation, resulting in a sense of loss or depression; Low self-esteem is often due to fear of failure and anxiety. Whether a person has proper self-confidence is a standard to evaluate his mental health.

9. Social interaction. Whether a person can communicate with others normally can also mark a person's mental health level. When a person cuts off contact with relatives, friends and other members of society for no reason, or becomes very indifferent, it constitutes a symptom of mental illness. If you socialize excessively, you can "fall in love at first sight" with anyone you don't know, or you may be manic. In fact, in real life, it is more common to feel depressed. When people are depressed, it is more common that social communication is blocked.

10. Environmental adaptability. In order to survive and develop, one must adapt to the environment. Environmental conditions are constantly changing, sometimes changing greatly, so we need to take active or passive measures to achieve a new balance between ourselves and the environment. This process is adaptation. Some people feel powerless in the face of the ever-changing living environment, but they just endure and keep a low profile and do not change; However, when the living environment suddenly changes, some people will quickly adopt various methods to adapt to maintain psychological balance. Whether you can actively adapt to the environment and maintain psychological balance often marks a person's mental health level.
