Battery problem of Canon digital camera

No matter what kind of battery is left unused, it will also "self-discharge". According to the manual of Canon camera, if the battery is not used in the camera for a long time, it will discharge slowly, which will affect the life of the battery.

Your battery is dead after only one week of use, which is definitely not normal. But both batteries are like this, and the possibility that both batteries are damaged at the same time should be very small.

One possibility is: 1. You didn't charge the battery at all! Try charging the battery and try again. When charging, you should see that the green indicator of the charger is on and the battery is full. The battery should be able to take 200-300 photos when fully charged. In order to eliminate the problem of charger, it is best to borrow a friend's charger. If you really can't borrow a charger, you can find one of ten thousand meters. The battery used in 960 is NB-5L, and the terminal voltage should be no less than 3.7V after being fully charged.

I have tried all the above, but I can only suspect that it is a camera problem. The camera motherboard may have electric leakage and can only be sent to Canon for after-sales inspection.
