1 Introduction to the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences
The University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), referred to as "NUS", is an innovative institution of higher learning approved by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China and characterized by postgraduate education and the integration of science and education. It has been selected as one of the "double first-class" world-class academic discipline construction universities and the "pilot program for cultivating outstanding students in basic disciplines", and is a member of the Pacific Rim University Consortium, the Beijing-Hong Kong University Consortium, the Alliance of Universities of Science and Technology, the Planetary Science Consortium of Chinese Universities, and one of the first batch of autonomous units to audit the authorization of degree programs. NUST's predecessor was the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (GSS), which was founded in 1978 as the first graduate school in New China approved by the Party Central Committee and the State Council, and trained China's first Doctor of Science, first Doctor of Engineering, first female doctorate, and first double-degree doctorate.In June 2012, the name was changed to University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS).In 2014, NUST began to admit undergraduates, forming a program covering three levels of higher education - undergraduate, master's and doctoral levels of higher education.
2 How much is the ranking of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences

The university*** has 55 teaching and research units directly under its aegis, of which 40 are in Beijing and 15 are outside of the capital; it also has 7 affiliated hospitals; it has 13 undergraduate majors; its postgraduate disciplines are distributed in 10 disciplines, such as science, engineering, medicine, and so on; there are more than 3,000 full-time faculty members in the university; the graduate training units have 11,737 graduate supervisors in service, and the number of graduate teachers in the training units has been reduced to 1,000, which is the same as that of the university. There are over 3,000 full-time teachers in the university; 11,737 postgraduate instructors in each postgraduate training unit, including 240 academicians of the two academies and more than 6,600 doctoral supervisors; 1,541 undergraduates; 49,000 postgraduates; the number of doctoral students ranks first in China, and one-third of them are PhDs; 1,757 foreign students, including 1,050 foreign PhDs, ranked the first among national colleges and universities; 108 students have been elected to the National Academic Council of China. The number of foreign doctoral students is the highest in China. 108 students have been elected as academicians of the two academies.
