The implementation of the "opinions" clearly put forward, from this year onwards, all districts and counties in the urban built-up areas, the establishment of townships and townships in the seat of the government to fully implement the classification of living garbage, and the city's garbage classification put forward a "three-step" work objectives, detailed the specific work initiatives to speed up the construction of living garbage classification system clear and specific paths.
Categorization of living garbage in Chongqing: At present, garbage classification mainly distinguishes between urban and rural living garbage classification. Urban living garbage classification in accordance with the "Chongqing Municipal Management Measures for the Classification of Living Waste", is currently divided into hazardous waste, perishable waste, recyclables and other garbage, which other garbage and perishable garbage is what we commonly known as "dry garbage", "wet garbage".
In the category of municipal waste classification, the focus of the residents at home is to separate the other garbage and perishable garbage, that is, to do a good job of wet and dry classification. Because the proportion of other garbage and perishable garbage in residents' homes accounts for a relatively high percentage of residents' household waste, about 70%-80%. Therefore, Chongqing Municipality will guide residents to focus on setting up these two types of garbage cans in their homes.
Hazardous waste actually produces a small percentage, so it will be encouraged to set up a hazardous waste drop-off point in a neighborhood. Meanwhile, for recyclables, Chongqing Municipality will also encourage residents to put them in individually or sell recyclables directly, in order to improve the recycling rate of household waste and economize the use of resources.
