I remember that time, I knew nothing about electrification, my science was relatively backward, and my living standard was very low. Most families have never seen TV sets, let alone refrigerators and washing machines, and even have no advanced medical equipment. If someone has a very complicated disease and there is no advanced instrument for diagnosis and treatment, the doctor can only watch helplessly and prescribe some general drugs for the patient. Housing is even more backward. There are several people crowded in the low hut, old and young, and shanty towns that can't help being blown by the wind can be seen everywhere. The roads are narrow, dusty and polluted.
Today, 30 years later, under the leadership of Grandpa Deng Xiaoping, our people have undergone earth-shaking changes through reform and opening up. First, let's look at medical care. Now, there are all kinds of advanced instruments in the hospital, such as EEG, CT, magnetic vibration, Doppler and so on. It provides convenience for patients, and the party and the state also provide people with medical cards. Great changes have taken place in people's lives. The shanty towns in the past have disappeared now, replaced by high-rise buildings, endless wide roads, rows of shade trees on both sides, and green lawns dotted with all kinds of beautiful flowers.
In today's reform, people are smiling. They used to live in shanty towns, but today they live in modern buildings with all kinds of facilities. Ordinary people not only have good living conditions, but also their wages have doubled. It is no longer an era of lack of money. So some people's electrification has reached a comprehensive level, with everything, flat-panel color TVs and advanced refrigerators. People's life has entered a well-off era.
In 2008, we ushered in the Beijing Olympic Games. With the efforts of the people of the whole country, we have built the largest gymnasium in Beijing-the Bird's Nest, which is the pride of our people. The space flight "Shenzhou VII" also flew into the blue sky and headed for the universe with the pace of reform and opening up. From then on, our country walked in front of the world, and we shouted for it! ! Come on, China! ! !
