2. Don't buy cheap turtles.

4. When buying offline, observe the turtle shell, whether it floats or not, and the feeding situation.
The most important thing for beginners to buy turtles is how to judge sick turtles with the naked eye. The first three are all about how to find a shop suitable for popular science, but a good shop will inevitably have defective turtles, so it needs to be judged by the naked eye.
1) The shell is damaged or cracked, and it smells like carrion.
If the shell is broken or cracked, it is likely to get rotten nails. After buying it back, the course of treatment is long and it is easy to get infected. Don't buy it.
2) Does the turtle have white speckled floating skin on its head, neck, tail and limbs?
This belongs to rotten skin. Novices will die quickly if they don't buy medicine after buying it, so it is not recommended to buy it.
3) Whether the head has a protrusion the size of a white bean.
The picture shows scabies. After discovering this problem, it is recommended to change stores to buy. Scabies is highly contagious.
