There are two main types of galleys on airplanes: dry galleys and wet galleys. Components of the galley
The galley of an aircraft consists of the galley structure, cabinet door assemblies, garbage collection bins, trolleys, storage cabinets, water heaters, ovens, and the associated plumbing for the water system and wiring for the electrical system. Each cabinet is labeled accordingly for easy recognition. Moving parts in the galley have latches to hold them in place to prevent accidental slipping during bumpy airplanes from inconveniencing passengers. Kitchen Structure
1. Kitchen Structure: The kitchen structure is enclosed by the basic components made of composite materials, side wall panels, rear wall panels, etc., and is divided into a number of compartments, each of which will house, respectively, garbage bins, trolleys, storage cupboards bins, ovens, water heaters, etc. The kitchen is actually a space to accommodate various equipment in the kitchen. In effect, it is a cabinet that houses a variety of kitchen equipment. Because of the guide strips inside the kitchen structure, the carts and storage bins can be easily pushed out of the kitchen structure for easy loading and dispensing of food and beverages. When not in use, they are confined within the kitchen structure by a plurality of latches (stop handles), and when in use, the trolleys and storage cabinets and boxes can be withdrawn by turning the latches (stop handles) to the open position.
2. Cabinet Door Components: On the kitchen structure, there are some partition areas installed with cabinet doors. 5. Ovens, coffee makers, water boilers, hot water heaters: These devices use high current electricity to heat. These units have plugs on the back and sockets mounted on the kitchen structure.
6. Water system management: drinking water enters the interior of the kitchen structure through a distribution pipe and then passes through a water filter and enters the heater unit.
7. Electrical wiring and service panel: There is a kitchen service control panel on the galley, on which the control switches for the electrical installations are located. It is easy for the steward to operate and the various control lines converge here.
