Overview of Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences

At present, Advanced Institute has initially established a micro-collaborative innovation ecosystem focusing on scientific research, integrating scientific research, education, industry and capital. Including six research institutes (Institute of Advanced Integrated Technology, Institute of Biomedicine and Health Engineering, Institute of Advanced Computing and Digital Engineering, Institute of Biomedicine and Technology, Institute of Advanced Technology of China Academy of Sciences (to be determined), Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Studies of China Academy of Sciences-McGovern Joint Institute of Brain Cognition and Brain Diseases (to be determined), a characteristic college (Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology), four characteristic industrial cultivation bases (Shekou Robot Base, Shenzhen, Shenzhen Longgang Low-cost Health Base, Shenzhen Lilangyun Computing and Internet of Things Base, Shanghai Jiading Electric Vehicle Base), angels, venture capital and international investment funds, as well as a number of new professional scientific research institutions with independent legal personality (Shenzhen Innovation Design and Research Institute, Shenzhen Beidou Applied Technology Research Institute, Jining Zhongke Advanced Technology Research Institute, Zhongke Chuangke College, Tianjin Zhongke Advanced Technology Research Institute).

—— The Institute of Advanced Integrated Technology, established in 2006, was established by the China Academy of Sciences, the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government and the Chinese University of Hong Kong through friendly negotiation, aiming at robots and intelligent systems, advanced manufacturing and equipment, automotive electronics and energy conservation.

—— Institute of Biomedical and Health Engineering, established in 2007, is committed to the research and development of high-resolution and multi-modal high-end medical imaging and equipment systems, advanced biomedical instruments, intelligent and innovative medical instruments and low-cost health science and technology research.

—— Institute of Advanced Computing and Digital Engineering, established in 2008, aims at urbanization and social information services, high-performance computing, cloud computing, high-performance geoscience computing, visualization, pervasive computing and computing engineering and science, and develops application foundations and core key technologies in the fields of smart cities and digital engineering.

—— Established on 20 1 1, "Biomedical Technology Research Institute" is oriented to clinical needs, innovative drugs and major diseases, promotes scientific research with industrial application, and focuses on core key frontier technologies and innovative drugs.

—— Established on 20 1 1 "Advanced Technology Research Institute of Guangzhou China Academy of Sciences (to be established)" is one of the first batch of pilot units of Guangzhou municipal government's innovative development model. In-depth research and development, production and marketing of projects and products in the fields of precision machining, modern service industry, new energy, new materials and electronic information.

-McGovern, Shenzhen Advanced Research Institute of China Academy of Sciences, was established on October 4th. The Institute of Brain Cognition and Brain Diseases (to be established) was jointly established by the Institute of Advanced Technology and McGovern Institute of Brain Research of Massachusetts Institute of Technology. It mainly carries out the work of "new technology of brain science research" and "diagnosis and intervention of brain diseases", in three frontier fields of brain cognitive science research, humanoid intelligence technology and early diagnosis and treatment of brain diseases.
