Water cooling is good.
The air cooling temperature can reach 90° regardless of the processor or graphics card
With water cooling, it can exceed 70°C that non-professional baking software cannot reach.
The operating temperature of the hardware directly affects the life of the hardware.
Advantages of air cooling: cheap. Even top-level air cooling such as Noctua D14, Kyushu Assassin, etc. are much cheaper than water cooling.
Disadvantages: The heat dissipation efficiency is much lower than that of water cooling.
Advantages of water cooling: high heat dissipation efficiency, which can significantly reduce the temperature of the hardware during operation. At the same time, by sharing the air cooling and heat dissipation of the chassis, the dustproofness of the chassis can be further improved.
Disadvantages: high cost. Entry-level tickets cost more than 2,000. Some people may think that there are water-cooling systems on the market that cost less than 1,000 yuan, and they are not that expensive. Anyone who really plays water cooling knows that single-U water cooling such as Corsair, Shark, and Far East are not considered entry-level. They can only meet the heat dissipation requirements of the CPU, and compared to the CPU, graphics cards are currently the major heat generators.
In addition, water, as a conductor, circulates inside the chassis, causing leakage and the risk of short-circuiting and burning the motherboard. This is also the reason why water-cooling prices are high. High-priced water-cooling devices have high thermal conductivity and are very rigorous in workmanship. It is almost unheard of to have leaks. The low-priced ones are just the opposite.
A real water cooling system should at least include cooling for the CPU and GPU.
Other cooling components can be added: motherboard north and south bridges, motherboard capacitors, memory, and hard drives.
In addition, silence is no longer an advantage of water cooling. The silent water cooling system refers to the early passive cooling water cooling system (no fan and only relies on indoor air flow). Due to the increased heat dissipation of the CPU and the lack of a fan, the water dissipates heat at a speed less than or equal to the heat generation speed of the CPU. This system has been eliminated.
