Bali County is pronounced kě lán xiàn.
Bali County is part of Xinzhou City in Shanxi Province, located in the central part of the Loess Plateau in northwestern Jin Dynasty, at the northwestern foot of Guanrain Mountain. It is neighboring Ningwu in the east, Baode and Xingxian in the west, Jingle and Lanxian in the south, and Wuchai and Hequ in the north. Bali County belongs to the mid-temperate continental monsoon climate, and the territory of the ecological and non-polluting. There is a relative lack of mineral resources in the territory, which is one of the few coal-free counties in the city, but there are granite, dolomite and limestone with good grades.
