The Red Army Hospital was established in May 1934, after the loss of Jianning County, the second combat division of the Min-Gan Military Region for the treatment of Red Army soldiers wounded in battle in Kefang Shuiwei, for the Red Army, the *** Jianning County Committee, the county soviet government and the Min-Gan guerrillas in the southwest of Jianning, northwest of Kefang, and other places to adhere to the struggle has played an important role. At that time, the medical equipment of the Red Army Hospital was very poor, and there was often a lack of medicine. The medical staff of the Red Army Hospital dug up their own herbs and made their own medical equipment, and at the same time utilized medicines captured from the enemy to treat the sick and wounded in both Chinese and Western ways.
The former site of the Red Army Hospital is a wooden house facing east, covering an area of 1,036 square meters. It is now one of the revolutionary traditional education sites in Jianning County.
