The dressing should be kept clean, and the dressing should be changed twice a week under normal circumstances. If the dressing is wet, loose or sweaty, it should be replaced in time. Before and after infusion with Clover connector, the catheter was washed with physiological saline pulse; Before infusion with heparin cap, take out heparin saline; After infusion, the tube was sealed with heparin saline. Generally, the indwelling time of central venous catheter is three months. If there is persistent or repeated high fever, extubation should be considered. Patients who need long-term infusion and vascular conditions permit can consider indwelling central venous catheter, namely PICC. This catheter can be kept for one year, and the longest one I have ever seen can be kept for two years, but I pulled it out for fear of causing infection.
