Can I transfer across majors?

It is possible to transfer across majors, and candidates need to meet the following basic conditions for transfer:

(I) Meet the application requirements of the transferred major.

(2) The results of the preliminary examination (including extra points, the same below) meet the basic requirements of the national preliminary examination results of the first volunteer major in the transfer area.

(3) The transferred specialty is the same or similar to the first volunteer specialty, and should be within the same discipline category.

(d) The subjects of the preliminary examination shall be the same or similar to the subjects of the preliminary examination of the transferred specialty, of which the subjects of the preliminary examination shall be the same as the subjects of the unified national examination of the transferred specialty.

(5) The first volunteer to apply for the care of the specialty (refers to the physical education and sports master's degree, Chinese medicine, Chinese and Western medicine and master's degree in Chinese medicine, engineering care of the specialty, the same below) if the candidates transferred out of this type of care of the specialty, the results of the preliminary examination must meet the basic requirements of the transfer of the care of the specialty of the national preliminary examination results of the disciplines of the transferring region (category). If the candidates who applied for non-care specialties in the first volunteer are transferred into the care specialties, their scores in the preliminary examination must meet the basic requirements of the national preliminary examination scores of the corresponding disciplines (categories) of the non-care specialties in the region where they are transferred. The transfer between the care majors of Kinesiology and Master of Physical Education, Master of Chinese Medicine, Integrative Medicine and Master of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Engineering will be carried out according to the transfer policy within the care majors.

(6) Candidates applying for the first voluntary application for master's degree in Business Administration, Public **** Management, Tourism Management, Engineering Management, Accounting, Library Intelligence and Auditing may apply for mutual transfer on the basis of meeting the conditions for applying for transferring into the specialty and the results of the preliminary examination meet the basic requirements for the results of the preliminary examination of the outgoing specialty and the incoming specialty in the region where the transfer is to be made, but they shall not be transferred into the other specialties; candidates in other specialties shall not be transferred into the above specialties either. Candidates of other majors are also not allowed to transfer to the above majors.

Candidates who apply for the Master of Laws (Illegal Studies) degree in the first volunteer shall not be transferred to other majors, and candidates from other majors shall not be transferred to the above majors.

(7) Candidates applying for the Program for High-level Competent Personnel of Ethnic Minorities shall not be transferred to other programs; those who have not applied for the program shall not be transferred to the program.

(h) Candidates applying for the special program for "retired college soldiers" and applying for transfer to the general program for admission, their preliminary examination scores shall meet the basic requirements of the national preliminary examination scores of the disciplines of the relevant majors in the region where they will be transferred (professional degree categories). Those who meet the requirements can enjoy the policy of giving extra points to the preliminary examination of retired college soldiers in accordance with the regulations.

Candidates applying for the general program who meet the application requirements of the special program for "retired college soldiers" may apply for transfer to the special program for admission, and their preliminary examination scores shall be in line with the preliminary examination scores determined by the relevant admission unit for accepting candidates for the special program for "retired college soldiers". The results of the preliminary examination shall meet the requirements of the relevant admission unit for accepting the transfer of candidates from the special program for "retired college soldiers". The candidates who are transferred to the special program for "retired college soldiers" are no longer entitled to the policy of adding points to the initial examination for retired college soldiers.

(ix) The relevant enrollment units shall independently determine and announce the requirements for accepting the transfer of master's degree students in clinical medicine from other units. The Ministry of Education shall set the basic requirements for the initial examination results of the master's degree students in clinical medicine as the basic requirements for the candidates applying for the master's degree students in clinical medicine to be transferred to other specialties.

Candidates applying for master's degree in clinical medicine can be transferred to other specialties in accordance with relevant policies, and candidates applying for other specialties (including academic degrees in medicine) may not be transferred to professional degrees in clinical medicine.

(j) Candidates who participate in the separate examination (including the Strong Military Program and Tibet Support Program) shall not be transferred.

Before applying for transfer, candidates should fully understand the transfer work methods of the enrollment units (including faculties, departments and institutes), as well as the relevant policies on enrollment, cultivation, scholarships and employment of the relevant majors in different study modes (full-time and part-time). The enrollment units should also actively do a good job of publicizing and interpreting the policy.
