Xian Municipal Central Hospital, founded in 1952, was formerly known as the hospital directly under the Ministry of Health of the Northwest Military and Political Affairs Commission, and was renamed as Xian Municipal Central Hospital in 1954. After more than 50 years of construction and development, Xi'an Municipal Central Hospital has become a large-scale comprehensive and modern hospital with advanced equipment, complete disciplines and strong technical force, integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research and preventive health care. Located in the prosperous area of Xi'an, the hospital covers an area of 40,000 square meters, with a medical building area of about 70,000 square meters. It has 1,000 beds, more than 40 intensive care beds, 21 modernized laminar flow operating rooms and 3 laminar flow operating rooms for stem cell transplantation.
