S32168?(06Cr18Ni11Ti) belongs to the national standard austenitic stainless steel containing Ti, the implementation of the standard: GB /T 1221-2007
S32168 belongs to the material standard in the "unified numerical code" as follows:
S32168? (06Cr18Ni11Ti) composition is as follows:
S32168 stainless steel is based on the composition of 304 added titanium and become. Its properties are very similar to 304 steel. Titanium has excellent resistance to acid and alkali corrosion, added to the stainless steel, only about one percent, it greatly improves the resistance to rust.
Exposed to 450 ℃ ~ 850 ℃ temperature, austenitic stainless steel is easy to produce sensitization phenomenon. Sensitization process, carbide (C23C6 chromium carbide-based) precipitation along the grain boundaries and twin intergranular boundaries, the alloying elements of the neighborhood of these intergranular boundaries are damaged, in a particular corrosive environment, intergranular corrosion occurs.
S32168 due to the addition of stabilizing element titanium, in the 426 ℃ ~ 815 ℃ temperature can resist the formation of chromium carbide, so it has better resistance to intergranular corrosion performance and high temperature performance, than 304 and 304L have higher creep and stress fracture performance.
In addition to this, 321 has good low-temperature toughness as well as excellent formability and weldability, with no need for annealing after welding.
The addition of titanium to S32168 makes it more adaptable to high-temperature applications, making it suitable for use in environments where 304 is sensitized and 304L lacks high-temperature strength. Typical applications include thermal expansion joints, bellows, aircraft exhaust system components, heating element sheathing, furnace components and heat exchangers.
