Eye vision problem involves a wide range of the general public in urgent need of a solution to a major medical and social problems. However, from the point of view of the current situation of domestic ophthalmology, the content and depth of the research is still far from enough, and there is still a certain gap with the advanced level of foreign countries. In order to better develop the domestic ophthalmology and improve the academic level, AIEL Ophthalmology Research Institute, according to the current international scientific frontier of ophthalmology and medical development needs, takes the clinical and basic research related to visual function as the leading research, and carries out the related scientific research and technology development with the most advanced research instruments and equipments as the technological support in the world, so as to contribute to the progress of the ophthalmology and the visual health of the people.
More than 10 sets of clinical research equipments and 30 sets of basic experimental equipments are available in the institute, which has three research rooms with the most advanced scientific standard decoration design. The optic function room is equipped with adjustable lights, which can be used for optic function research under various light conditions. The corneal contact lens room has an environment that allows for a comfortable patient experience and follow-up visits, and strictly follows the requirements of the examination instruments. The cell room has good temperature and humidity control, sterilization function and buffer room, which can ensure the smooth implementation of cell biological experiments.
