For offline purchase, it is recommended to go to a regular pharmacy or medical device business enterprise to check whether it has legal qualifications such as the Medical Device Business Enterprise License (or filing certificate) and business license, and must obtain a shopping invoice when purchasing. Official invoices are proof of purchase, and some illegal sales often have no official bills.
It should be noted that medical masks belong to the second category of medical devices in China. According to Article 4 of Chapter 1 of the Measures for the Supervision and Administration of Medical Devices, the management of Class II medical devices shall be put on record. Therefore, enterprises need to file with the state drug regulatory authorities before they are qualified to sell medical masks. In other words, the vast majority of WeChat merchants and small stores do not have sales qualifications, and these shopping routes are risky.
The second trick depends on the senses.
As far as the case of counterfeit and shoddy masks is concerned, N95/KN95 masks produced by 3M Company have become the hardest hit areas for counterfeiting. How to identify authenticity by appearance?
1. Packing box
There will be a laser anti-counterfeiting label on the 3M packaging box, and the anti-counterfeiting label will change color in the case of squint, that is, black and red merge into one color, while the fake mask does not have the anti-counterfeiting function of color change.
2. Packaging bag
The text on the regular 3M mask package is dark gray with certain transparency, while the text on the counterfeit product is dark and opaque.
Smell
Regular products have no obvious odor, only a faint activated carbon fragrance.
Look at printed matter
The words on the 3M mask are laser etched, and the printed mark is 45 degrees from the top left to the bottom right, while the fake mask is printed with ink with dots.
Reading label
Non-domestic masks, as long as they enter China through formal channels, must have Laura An certification. Domestic masks, whether used domestically or exported, must have QS label and LA certification.
Third, check official website.
If you want to judge whether a mask is true or false, there is another trick: the inquiry function of the website of the State Medical Supplies Administration. Information about masks produced by regular manufacturers can be found in official website and the State Administration of Medical Supplies.
Usually, the registration number information will be printed on the outer packaging of regular medical masks. The style of domestic masks is 20xx2xxxxxx. A is the abbreviation of a country or province, such as Zhejiang and Guangdong, indicating its examination and approval department. The first four digits of the serial number are the registration year, the fifth digit 2 represents the second-class medical device, the sixth and seventh digits represent the classification number, and the last four digits are the serial number. If it is an imported mask, its registration number begins with the machine note. If the registration number on the outer packaging does not conform to this rule, it is likely to be a counterfeit product.

Log in to official website, State Administration of Medical Supplies (website /WS04/CL2042/), click the navigation bar, and select the corresponding database according to domestic or imported masks.
Second step
Fill in the registration number of the mask purchased at the advanced query registration number, and click "Query", and the search results will appear. Click the search results to view the product registration information, which should be consistent with the relevant contents of mask packaging and printing. If the registration certificate number cannot be found, or the query result is inconsistent with the information printed on the mask package, such a mask has a high risk of counterfeiting.
