Qingdao Stomatological Hospital was founded in 1987, is a set of medical, teaching, research and prevention as one of the three A-class dental hospitals, the Shandong Province, the key clinical specialties. The hospital has a building area of 23,000 square meters, 11 clinical departments, 4 medical technology departments, Children's Oral Disease Comprehensive Prevention and Treatment Center, Oral Implant Restoration Center, Combined Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Periodontal Mucosal Disease Prevention and Treatment Center was approved as Qingdao's B class key disciplines. There are two branches: the main hospital and the eastern branch, and the Ningxia Road Outpatient Department. Now it opens 180 dental chairs and 10 beds, with an annual outpatient capacity of 300,000 visits. There are 333 employees, including 313 professional and technical personnel, 47 with senior titles, 125 doctoral and master's degrees, 8 master's degree supervisors, and 20 standing committees and members of national societies. It has advanced equipments such as the latest cone-beam oral CT, chairside CAD/CAM, root canal microscope, water laser treatment instrument and so on.
With the combination of prevention and treatment as its specialty, the hospital has established the first oral health education base in China, which has become the national demonstration base for health promotion and education and was exhibited as an excellent case in the Ninth Global Health Promotion Conference; the hospital has led the largest oral public welfare activities in Qingdao--Qingdao Children's Fossa Closure Program, Qingdao 60 The hospital led Qingdao's largest oral public welfare activities - Qingdao Children's Denture Closure Program, Qingdao's 60 years old and above low-income edentulous patients' free denture installation program and Qingdao's first oral epidemiological survey.
