He Xiaoman, director of the Department of Infectious Diseases of Wuhan Hospital Central Hospital, said that the hospital has been trying out intelligent transfer of medical waste for one year. The whole process does not need to manually fill in labels, repeat signatures and weigh records, which simplifies the process, avoids human factors and ensures the authenticity of data. At the same time, the weight of garbage before it is transferred out of the hospital can be compared with the weight recovered in time by the department. If any abnormality is found, the system will give an alarm, and the alarm data can be pushed to the mobile phone of the management personnel, so as to facilitate the timely investigation of medical waste leakage.
According to reports, this system will be launched in tertiary hospitals in Wuhan this year and will be promoted in medical institutions in Wuhan in the future.
