SMIC is (Shanghai Medical University &; Health Sciences), that is, Shanghai Medical Device College, that is, Shanghai Health Medical College, referred to as "Shangjian Medicine" for short, now has 9 colleges and 4 teaching departments, 1 1 affiliated hospitals (including under construction).

The current school of Shanghai Medical College of Health was merged and rebuilt on the basis of the original Shanghai Medical College, Shanghai Medical Device College and Shanghai Health Vocational and Technical College on 20 15. The history of this school can be traced back to 1950 Shanghai Health Personnel Training College.
