Founded in 1935, it is a Grade 3A mental health hospital in Shanghai and an affiliated hospital of Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine.In September 2020, the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government decided to award it the title of "Advanced Collective in Shanghai's Fight Against the New Crown Pneumonia Epidemic".
