Legal Analysis

1. The marriage registrar checks the applicant’s document information.

2. Ask the applicant about his or her intention to get married, and provide each party who wishes to marry with a "Declaration for Marriage Registration Application."

3. The applicant must fill in the "Declaration for Marriage Registration Application" in person in front of the marriage registrar. If the applicant cannot write, the marriage registrar can fill it in on his behalf and then read it out. If the applicant thinks the content is correct, he or she can put his or her fingerprint in the "Declarant" column.

4. The applicant reads his or her oath, and the marriage registrar administers the oath and signs the oath executor’s column.

5. Issue a "Marriage Certificate".

Article 1046: Marriage must be completely voluntary for both men and women, and any One party imposes coercion on the other, and any organization or individual is prohibited from interfering.

Article 1047: The age of marriage shall not be earlier than 22 years old for men and 20 years old for women.

Article 1048: Direct blood relatives or collateral blood relatives within three generations are prohibited from marrying.

Article 1049. Both men and women who wish to get married shall apply for marriage registration in person at the marriage registration authority. If the marriage complies with the provisions of this law, it will be registered and a marriage certificate will be issued. Completion of marriage registration establishes the marriage relationship. If the marriage has not been registered, it must be re-registered.
