Preparation method of alumina ceramics
There are many methods to prepare alumina ceramics, among which hot pressing and plasma spraying are the most commonly used methods.
hot-press approach
Hot pressing method is to add alumina powder into the mold and treat it at high temperature and high pressure. The specific steps are as follows:
1. Prepare alumina powder and mold.
2. Fill the mold with alumina powder.
3. Put the mold into a hot press, and apply high temperature and high pressure to turn the alumina powder into dense alumina ceramics.
Plasma spraying method
Plasma spraying method is to spray alumina powder on the substrate and then sinter it. The specific steps are as follows:
1. Prepare alumina powder and substrate.
2. Put alumina powder into plasma spraying equipment.
3. Using plasma spraying equipment to spray alumina powder on the substrate.
4. Sintering the sprayed matrix in a sintering furnace to make the alumina powder become dense alumina ceramics.
Application of alumina ceramics
Alumina ceramics are widely used in machinery, electronics, chemical industry, medical treatment and other fields because of their excellent properties.
Mechanical field
In the mechanical field, alumina ceramics are used to manufacture high-precision bearings, seals, cutters and so on. Because alumina ceramics have high hardness, high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance, the service life and efficiency of mechanical equipment can be greatly improved.
Electronic field
In the electronic field, alumina ceramics are used to manufacture capacitors, piezoelectric ceramics, thermistors and so on. Because alumina ceramics have high insulation and high temperature resistance, it can ensure the stability and reliability of electronic equipment.
Chemical field
In the chemical field, alumina ceramics are used to make chemical reactors, catalysts, filters and so on. Because alumina ceramics have high corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance, it can ensure the stability and safety of chemical equipment.
Medical field
In the medical field, alumina ceramics are used to make artificial joints and dental restoration materials. Because alumina ceramics have good biocompatibility and high wear resistance, it can ensure the safety and reliability of medical equipment.
