Qinghai Red Cross Hospital (Qinghai Provincial Prison Administration Center Hospital), founded in October 1949, is one of the three major medical centers in Qinghai Province that integrates medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention, health care, rehabilitation and supervisory medical care, and it is the third public Grade 3A general hospital in China and the first in Northwestern China that has passed the accreditation of the U.S. Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (JCI), and it is also the largest and most modern prison hospital in the country.
