I want to take the graduate school of psychology at Peking University, how is the program at Peking University?

No master's degree, only a master's degree, code 045400 Applied Psychology

There are three colleges that enroll students: the School of Psychological and Cognitive Sciences, the Institute of Medical Humanities (Public **** Teaching Department), and the Institute of Mental Health (Sixth Hospital)

Attached is a reply from Zhong Jie (Associate Professor at the School of Psychological and Cognitive Sciences, Peking University) on Zhihu

There are different directions of study, and the training process varies greatly. In my college, there are usually 30-40 students a year in the master's program, and the duration of the program is currently 3 years. It is divided into clinical direction, industrial and organizational management direction, developmental psychology direction, and other directions, and the cultivation process of each direction varies greatly. I will focus on the clinical psychology direction: 12-16 students are recruited each year; half of them are guaranteed to graduate school, and half of the student body is from graduate school. The general interview elimination rate is 50% (with a little variation from year to year). Recruitment standards are very strict, and the interview focuses on undergraduate training (psychology foundation, counseling potential, research ability, English application ability, communication ability, introspection ability, and personality maturity). After entering the program, students receive three years of systematic vocational training, including 14-17 professional courses (basic courses are not counted), working as a receptionist in a training clinic in the first year, clinical assessment in the second year (focusing on case construction), and internship under supervision in the third year. The whole process is a systematic training like an assembly line, and the clinical training is uniform except for the thesis supervisor with the thesis. In the third year, there is an exit exam, just like medical training. So the current clinic psychology training program at Peking University is a professional training process that is on par with international standards.
