Advantages:
1, high and stable quality of produced water, continuous; 2, simple and safe operation; 3, will not be shut down due to regeneration; 4, does not require acid, alkali chemicals regeneration; 4, the operating costs are lower than the mixed-bed; 5, covers an area of small; 6, no effluent discharge; 7, easy to realize fully automatic control.
Disadvantages:
1, high power consumption, because its ion exchange process requires continuous electric field force. But it has a higher water production rate, combined with lower operating costs than other equipment.
2, the first investment is higher, because of its treatment of water purity is higher, the need for higher technology content is also higher, so in the process design and equipment settings will be more stringent than other treatment processes, so the first investment will be higher. But compared to the use of multi-stage reverse osmosis form to produce ultrapure water for comparison, the total cost is lower.
