Hospital was established in 1971, its predecessor is the Taiyuan School of Health and Shanxi Province, the second workers sanatorium, 1974 outpatient clinic building was built and opened, and inpatient treatment, set up 50 beds, in 1980 the inpatient building was built, the addition of beds to 200, 1984 expansion of inpatient hospitalization building beds increased to 350, 1989 beds were added to the 400, the new inpatient building in 2005, put into use beds were added to 572, 2010 open beds increased to 630. 1995 was rated as a second-class A-class hospital. In 2005, the new inpatient building was put into use with 572 beds, and in 2010, the number of open beds was increased to 630. 1995, the hospital was rated as a Grade 2A hospital, and passed the re-examination in 2002. 2009, the hospital was rated as a Grade 3B hospital, and it is the second Grade 3 hospital in Lvliang (the first one is the Grade 3A hospital, Fenyang Hospital of Shanxi Province). 2003, the hospital merged with former Lvliang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and it formed a medical center with two medical districts, one and the other.
