What are the classification types of plastic molding machines?

Plastic molding equipment is developed on the basis of rubber machinery and metal die casting machine. Since the appearance of polymer injection molding technology and simple molding equipment in 1970s, as an industry, it didn't get rapid development until 1930s, and plastic molding equipment was gradually commercialized. Injection molding and extrusion molding have become industrialized processing methods. Blow molding is the third largest plastic molding method after injection molding and extrusion, and it is also the fastest developing plastic molding method.

Classification of plastic molding machines:

1, plastic injection molding machine

Plastic injection molding is a kind of injection molding method, and its equipment is called plastic injection molding machine, or injection molding machine for short. Plastic injection molding machine is the main molding equipment to make thermoplastic and thermosetting plastics into various plastic products. Ordinary plastic injection molding machine refers to the most widely used horizontal, vertical or angular single-station injection molding machine for processing thermoplastic single screw or plunger.

Other types of injection molding machines, such as thermosetting plastics, structural foaming, multi-component, reactive and exhaust injection molding machines, refer to some injection molding machines with different processing materials and machine structural characteristics from ordinary plastic injection molding machines. About 30% of the plastic raw materials in the world are used for injection molding, and the injection molding machine accounts for about 40% of the total output of plastic machinery. It has become an important part of plastic processing industry and plastic machinery industry, and it is one of the fastest-growing types of plastic machinery products with the most varieties and specifications.

2. Plastic extruder

In the plastic extrusion molding equipment, the plastic extruder is usually called the main machine, and the subsequent equipment plastic extrusion molding machine is called the auxiliary machine. After the development of 100 years, the plastic extruder has been derived from the original single screw into various models, such as twin-screw, multi-screw, and even no screw. The plastic extruder (main engine) can be matched with various plastic molding auxiliary machines, such as pipes, films, holding materials, monofilaments, flat wires, packing belts, net extrusion, sheets, profiles, granulation, cable coating and so on. , forming various plastic extrusion molding production lines to produce various plastic products. Therefore, plastic extrusion molding machinery is one of the widely used models in plastic processing industry.

3. Plastic blow molding machine

Blow molding includes two basic steps: first, forming a parison, then using compressed air (and stretching rod) to radially expand (and axially stretch) the parison, making it close to (stretch) the cavity of the blow mold, giving the shape and size of the product cavity, and cooling it.

4, multi-layer blow molding

There are two kinds of molding: extrusion blow molding and injection blow molding. Stretch blow molding includes injection stretch blow molding and extrusion stretch blow molding. Stretch blow molding can be divided into one-step method and two-step method

5. Press and transfer molding machine

Compression molding and transfer molding are the main molding methods of thermosetting plastics. The press for compression molding and the transfer molding machine for transfer molding are the main molding equipment for manufacturing various plastic products from thermosetting plastics. The function of the press is to exert pressure on the plastic through the plastic mold. If the fixed die is used, it also has the functions of opening and closing the die and ejecting the product. The press used for compression molding can be divided into two categories: electric press and hydraulic press. Because the manufacture, operation and maintenance of motor press are more complicated than hydraulic press, and it is not suitable for pressing large plastic parts, it is gradually eliminated. The press used is basically a hydraulic press. The pressure medium of hydraulic press usually includes oil and water, the former is widely used in small and medium-sized equipment. The transfer molding equipment can be the same hydraulic press as compression molding or a special transfer molding machine. The transfer molding machine is actually a double-press hydraulic machine with two hydraulic cylinders. According to its structure, it can be divided into two types: up and down double pressure type and right angle type.

6. Thermoforming machine

There are only three methods for thermoforming plastics, namely, female die molding, male molding and reverse molding. The thermoforming machine should be able to repeat the thermoforming production cycle according to some procedures and manufacture exactly the same products. There are many types of thermoforming machines, including manual, semi-automatic and automatic thermoforming machines. Thermoforming products are large in size and few in quantity, which is suitable for semi-automatic or manual thermoforming machines. On the contrary, the product is small in size and large in quantity, so it is more suitable to choose automatic thermoforming machine.
