? Chinese Foundation for the Prevention of Sexually Transmitted Diseases and AIDS, the main business scope are:
(a) to promote the prevention and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases at home and abroad, and AIDS academic groups and individuals friendly exchanges and cooperation, and organization of academic exchanges at home and abroad;
(b) the introduction of advanced prevention and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases, AIDS drugs, medical technology, equipment, sanitation materials and health care products;
(3) to support China's work on prevention and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases and AIDS through a variety of channels and forms, and to support relevant scientific research and publicity and education;
(4) to raise and accept donations of funds, materials and equipment from home and abroad, and to promote China's cause of prevention and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases and AIDS;
(5) to accept commissions from domestic and foreign organizations and individuals, and to undertake activities in conformity with the purposes of the Foundation. ? China Foundation for the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases and AIDS, the main work to:
? As the earliest domestic non-governmental organization established to prevent and control AIDS, the Foundation has done a great deal of work since its inception, taking advantage of the fact that social organizations can easily assist the government in various forms of prevention and control work, and has carried out the following major work:
1. In 1991, it produced China's first popular education video feature film "AIDS Tracking", which reflected the prevention and control of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and AIDS, and was distributed nationwide, winning a "Special Award" from the Ministry of Health. It was awarded the "Special Prize" by the Ministry of Health.
2. In 1991, the Xiaoxi AIDS Prevention and Control Reward Fund was set up, and together with the Ministry of Health, it has awarded several times to outstanding workers and advanced collectives actively engaged in scientific research, education, publicity, and prevention and treatment of AIDS, selected by the Ministry of Health and other relevant ministries, as well as by the health systems of provinces, cities, autonomous regions, and so on.
3. In 1995, in cooperation with the Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine and other organizations, the International AIDS Symposium was successfully held.
4. In 1996, it founded the professional periodical "International Information on STDs and AIDS", and prepared publications such as the popularized book on AIDS "Warning of the Century".
5. Since 1997, in cooperation with local government departments and non-governmental organizations, it has successfully held large-scale "AIDS prevention education exhibitions" in Guangzhou, Nanning, Beijing and Urumqi, etc.; after that, the exhibition boards, which were modified and produced in accordance with the requirements of the local governments, have been extended to more than 20 provinces and cities throughout the country.
6. Providing hotline counseling on AIDS prevention and treatment; launching the website "AIDS Online" since 2001.
7. Participated in a survey on strategies to curb the AIDS epidemic organized by the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1999 and wrote a report on the survey.
8. In 2000, we cooperated with the domestic media to produce and broadcast educational films on AIDS, such as "The Warning of the Century", and in 2001, we organized an AIDS knowledge contest for university students in cooperation with Beijing TV***.
9. In recent years, with the support of the Ministry of Health and relevant international organizations, we have gone to rural areas to carry out AIDS prevention publicity and education with grass-roots health departments: (1) in 2000, weifang in shandong province and handan in hebei province, rural areas to carry out health education for the prevention and treatment of AIDS in a variety of ways, using radio, television, exhibitions, leaflets, lectures, etc.; (2) in 2001, weifang in shandong province established a health education base to carry out publicity in rural areas. (2) In 2001, we established a health education base in Weifang, Shandong Province, to publicize the prevention and treatment of AIDS in rural areas; (3) In 2001, we cooperated with the Department of Health of Shanxi Province to carry out an AIDS health education and intervention project in Xiaxian County, Shanxi Province, with the goal of "building a discrimination-free community". 10. We have participated in a wide range of international exchanges, taking part in various international conferences and organizing exhibitions to introduce China and our work on AIDS prevention and control.
11. In cooperation with many medical institutions, the Foundation provides consultation and publicity and education on the prevention and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and AIDS; and organizes training courses on AIDS and STD detection and testing techniques in various regions.
12. In 2003, a large-scale social mobilization "121 Joint Action Plan" was launched nationwide, with the active participation and support of 45 ministries, 52 social organizations, 42 mainstream media and many international organizations. Its significance lies in the following: government-led, multi-sector, multi-organizations, multi-groups, including enterprises, all kinds of social forces *** with the collaboration and participation, maximize the use of social resources and strength, *** with the fight against AIDS.
13. In 2005, the "121 Red Ribbon One Dollar Donation" campaign was launched nationwide, mobilizing society as a whole to "donate one dollar per person to **** against AIDS", and the money raised will be used to subsidize children orphaned and infected by AIDS. The money raised will be used to support AIDS orphans, AIDS patients and infected persons; large exhibition boards were made to publicize the scientific knowledge of AIDS prevention and treatment in Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Zhengzhou, Kunming, Urumqi, Hohhot, Changchun, Dalian and other cities. On the occasion of the 18th World AIDS Day, popularization and education activities on AIDS prevention and treatment were carried out on university campuses and construction sites for college students and migrant workers.
14. In order to better carry out the publicity and education work on the prevention and treatment of AIDS, the foundation has hired many famous actors and actresses to be the foundation's ambassadors and publicizers, who actively participate in the publicity and education work on the prevention and treatment of AIDS, regardless of the pay and hard work.
These activities have been praised and concerned by the relevant leaders of the Party and the State, international organizations and people from all walks of life.
