The predecessor of the college was the Qinhuangdao Glass Industry Technical School of the State Building Materials Bureau established in 1978, and the Qinhuangdao Branch of the State Building Materials Bureau Management Cadre College was added in 1985, and Hebei Building Materials Worker's University was merged with the Hebei Building Materials Industrial School in 1998 after the transfer to Hebei, and Hebei Building Materials Vocational and Technical College was reconstructed in 2001, and it was transferred to the management of the Department of Education of Hebei Province at the end of the same year.
