When the ignition switch is in the "ON" position, the low tire pressure warning light comes on and then goes out. This means the low tire pressure warning system is working properly.
This light comes on if tire pressure is low or if the tire pressure warning system fails.
The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) monitors the tire pressure of all tires except the spare tire.
Low Tire Pressure Warning:
If the vehicle is driven with low tire pressure, the low tire pressure warning light will illuminate.
When the low tire pressure warning light comes on, stop the vehicle and adjust the tire pressure to the COLD (cold) tire pressure recommended on the tire plate. Check tire pressure using a tire pressure gauge. When adjusting tire pressure, the low tire pressure warning light may not go out automatically. After the tires are inflated to the recommended pressure, the vehicle must be driven at a speed above 25 km/h (16 MPH) to activate the TPMS and turn off the low tire pressure warning light.
TPMS Failure:
If the TPMS is not operating properly, the low tire pressure warning light will flash for approximately 1 minute when the ignition switch is placed in the "ON" position. After 1 minute, the light will remain on. Please go to a Dongfeng NISSAN store to check the system.
Special attention should be paid to the following:
●Radio waves can have adverse effects on electronic medical equipment. Those who use pacemakers should contact the electronic medical device manufacturer before use to ask if they may be affected.
●If the light does not light up when the ignition switch is in the "ON" position, please go to a Dongfeng NISSAN store to check the vehicle as soon as possible.
●If this light comes on while driving, you should avoid sudden steering operations or emergency braking, reduce your speed, drive to a safe location on the roadside, and stop as soon as possible. Driving with under-inflated tires can permanently damage the tires and increase the likelihood of tire failure. Serious vehicle damage will occur and may cause an accident and result in serious personal injury. Check the tire pressure on all four tires. Adjust tire pressure to the COLD tire pressure recommended on the tire placard to turn off the low tire pressure warning light. If a tire is flat, replace it with a spare tire as soon as possible.
●When a spare tire is installed or a wheel is replaced, the TPMS will not operate and the low tire pressure warning light will flash for approximately 1 minute. After 1 minute, the light will remain on. For tire replacement and/or system reset, please contact a Dongfeng NISSAN store as soon as possible.
●Replacement of tires not originally specified by NISSAN will affect the normal operation of the TPMS.
●TPMS cannot replace regular tire pressure checks. Be sure to check your tire pressure regularly.
●If the vehicle is traveling at a speed below 25 km/h (16 MPH), the TPMS may not operate correctly.
●Be sure to install the specified size tires correctly on all four wheels.
