Not belonging to an administrative region, Zhengzhou Airport District is an administrative region of Zhengzhou City listed separately.
Zhengzhou Comprehensive Experimental Zone of Airport Economy is an aviation economy and aviation metropolitan area centered on Xinzheng Comprehensive Bonded Zone (i.e., Zhengzhou Airport Zone) near Xinzheng International Airport in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, and is the main carrier for Zhengzhou City's development towards an internationalized land port city, an international integrated logistics zone, a high-end manufacturing base and a service industry base.
With the support of relevant policies, Zhengzhou Comprehensive Experimental Zone of Aviation Economy will become the new plate of Zhengzhou's economic development and the leader of the Central Plains Economic Zone. According to the planning of "one city, five districts", Zhengzhou Comprehensive Experimental Zone of Aviation Economy consists of three major parts: the core area, the main area and the driving radiation area.
On March 7, 2013, the State Council formally approved the Zhengzhou Comprehensive Experimental Airport Economic Zone Development Plan (2013-2025), making it the first pilot airport economic development zone in China to be elevated to a national strategy.
Functional Districts
1. Core Area: With a total planning area of 415 square kilometers of the aviation city as the main body, the main development of the aviation industry, such as aviation service support and maintenance, aircraft parts manufacturing and aviation leasing; high-end manufacturing industries, such as electronic information, biomedicine and medical devices, optoelectronics and semiconductors, and new materials; as well as education, training, business and leisure, healthcare and other urban supporting service industries.
2, the main area: Zhengbian New District and Shangjie General Aviation Industry Base as the main body. Relying on Zhengzhou New District, it mainly develops headquarters economy, finance and securities, automobile manufacturing, culture and tourism, high-end residence and other industries; Relying on Bianxi New District, it mainly develops home appliance production base; Relying on Shangjie General Aviation Base, it focuses on the development of the core industry of aviation, such as business transportation, aircraft 4S stores, aircraft leasing, and assembly and manufacturing of aviation vehicles.
Economy
In 2021, Zhengzhou Comprehensive Experimental Zone of Airport Economy completed a GDP of 117.28 billion yuan, an increase of 12.1% year-on-year, with a growth rate that ranked first in Zhengzhou; Zhengzhou Comprehensive Experimental Zone of Airport Economy completed an industrial output value of 417.45 billion yuan, an increase of 31% year-on-year. Among them, the electronic information industry completed 411.05 billion yuan, an increase of 31.9%, accounting for 95% of Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, the proportion of electronic information industry, 79%.
In 2021, the sales of trade enterprises in Zhengzhou Comprehensive Experimental Zone of Airport Economy amounted to 212.77 billion yuan, up 24.3% year-on-year. Among them, limited trading enterprises realized sales of 147.35 billion yuan, up 29.1% year-on-year; bulk commodity trading enterprises realized sales of 97.87 billion yuan, up 22.4% year-on-year.
In 2021, the total value of foreign trade imports and exports in Zhengzhou Comprehensive Experimental Zone of Airports Economy amounted to 524.56 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 17.9%. Among them, imports completed 222.6 billion yuan, an increase of 17.4%; exports completed 301.96 billion yuan, an increase of 18.3%.
