Pingxiang City is the only place in China where the word "Ping" begins.
Pingxiang is a prefecture-level city in Jiangxi Province, located in the west of Jiangxi Province and adjacent to Hunan Province. It is located at113 35 ′ ~16 5438+0417 ′ east longitude and 27 20 ′ ~ 28 0 ′ north latitude. Yichun in the east, Ji 'an in the south, Liling in Hunan in the west and Liuyang in Hunan in the north. Adjacent to Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan and connected with Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan, it is the west gate of Jiangxi's opening to the outside world. Pingxiang is an ancient plant floating on the water, which is called the hometown of Cao Ping.
Pingxiang has a total area of 3823.99 square kilometers (20 14) and a population of1974700 (201May). Hills, mountains and plains account for 66.4%, 27.3% and 6.3% of the national territory respectively. The central city is 58 square kilometers, and the urban greening rate is 46%. Now it has jurisdiction over Anyuan and Xiangdong two municipal districts and Lianhua, Luxi and Shangli three counties.
