Procurement analysis of imported medical equipment

Seeing a video, a couple of academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences said: More than 95% of the inspection equipment currently used in hospitals in China is imported, and the inspection methods of those equipment are based on physical principles.

Indeed, when we get sick in our lives, rural people will choose to go to county hospitals and provincial hospitals to check what disease it is, and then return to the local area for treatment after the test results come out. People in the city will go to more famous hospitals and higher-end hospitals for treatment. There are two main reasons for this. First, doctors in big hospitals are more educated and professional, with more patients and more experience every day. Secondly, the inspection equipment in large hospitals is more advanced and accurate, which is more helpful for the diagnosis of diseases. Let's analyze the second reason.

The higher the level, the bigger the hospital, and the more advanced physical examination equipment can be imported first. When large hospitals are replaced and eliminated, they will be gradually decentralized to lower-level hospitals. Almost all the old equipment used by primary medical departments are backward equipment that has been eliminated by senior hospitals for many years!

Of course, it's not that he doesn't want to use the latest equipment in primary hospitals, but those equipment are too expensive. With his own patient flow, he can't afford it, nor can he afford it. And the use of those old equipment is generally free or very affordable!

For example, good microscopes, biochemical analyzers, ct machines and nuclear magnetic vibrators in hospitals are almost all imported or produced by foreign-funded enterprises in China. The definition and durability of domestic ct machines are not as good as those imported. Traditional X-ray machines used in small hospitals have been updated for several generations, and CR machines and DR machines in large hospitals have also been updated for several generations. The latter imaging is much more accurate than the former, and the single charge is also expensive. There are hundreds of small steel plates for internal fixation of fractures made in China and thousands of imported ones. Small hospitals give people the intuitive feeling that everything is old, but in big hospitals it seems that everything is brand new!

Open the physics textbook, the unit of force is Newton, the unit of pressure is Pascal, the unit of current is Ampere, the unit of voltage is Volt, and the unit of resistance is Ohm ... There seems to be no physical unit named after China people. It's just as sad that we can't make mask aligner and produce our own advanced chips.

Our spaceship went to heaven, Chang 'e explored the moon, the dragon went to sea and the space station was put into use. So many high technologies have been conquered one by one. Can't we make those advanced medical examination instruments? Yes, no, because the development of medical technology in western medicine is later than that in the west, and medical equipment involves many problems such as patented technology, intellectual property rights, required materials, manufacturing tools, technology and so on. In a short time, it may be difficult to change the pattern of large hospitals checking small hospitals for medical treatment.
