Chapter 2 Acquisition of Donor Organs
Article 4 Acquisition of donor organs shall be carried out after the death of the donor.
Article 5 Provincial health (health planning) administrative departments must, under the unified leadership of the National Health and Family Planning Commission, set up one or more human organ acquisition organizations consisting of human organ transplant surgeons, neurosurgeons, physicians and nurses of the Department of Intensive Care Medicine.
The acquisition of donated organs must be carried out by OPOs in accordance with China's classification standards for cardiac death organ donation.The relevant management norms of OPOs shall be formulated separately by the National Health and Family Planning Commission.
Article 6 OPO shall perform the following duties:
(1) To conduct relevant medical assessments of potential donors within its service area;
(2) To sign human organ donation legitimacy documents, such as informed consent for human organ donation, with the donor or his/her spouse, adult children, parents (hereinafter referred to as close relatives) in accordance with the Human Organ Transplantation Regulations (c) maintaining the function of the donated organs;
(d) entering the clinical data and legality documents of potential donors, donors and their donated organs into China's Computerized System for Allocation and ***Hanging of Human Organs (hereinafter referred to as the Organ Allocation System);
(e) initiating the automatic allocation of donated organs using the Organ Allocation System;

Article 7 The OPO must form a team of human organ donation coordinators with specialized skills and qualifications, formulate medical standards for the identification and screening of potential donors, establish standard technical specifications for the acquisition of human donor organs, and equip specialized personnel and equipment to ensure the quality of the organs acquired.
Article 8 Human organ donation coordinators shall meet one of the following conditions:
(1) licensed physicians who have a bachelor's degree or higher in medicine from a school of higher education, who hold a valid Certificate of Practice for Physicians of the People's Republic of China*** and the People's Republic of China, and who have more than two years of clinical work experience, and who are engaged in the provision of medical care in medical institutions;
(2) licensed physicians who have a school of higher education (b) Registered nurses who have specialized education in nursing or above, hold a valid Certificate of Practice for Nurses of the People's Republic of China, have more than two years of clinical nursing experience, and are engaged in clinical nursing activities in medical institutions.
Article 9 Human organ donation coordinators shall perform the following duties:
(1) provide professional education and training on human organ donation to the relevant medical personnel of medical institutions within their scope of service;
(2) discover and identify potential donors, collect clinical information, and assist OPO's medical experts in carrying out the relevant medical assessments;
