The rescuer of PCP poisoning should wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as described above before entering the disaster area. In the case of PCP poisoning, it is important to move the patient away from the scene to a ventilated area, examine the patient for symptoms, and determine the route of the poisoning and provide appropriate care (see Figure 1.1).

Basic principles of first aid for poisoning
Checking items (eyes, respiration, heartbeat)
First-aid principles
(1) Move the patient to a fresh air place and notify the emergency medical personnel
(2) Use artificial resuscitation if the patient does not have breath. Artificial respiration, if the patient has ingested or inhaled PCP, do not use mouth-to-mouth artificial respiration, but use a one-way valve mask device or other appropriate respiratory medical equipment to assist artificial respiration
(3) When the patient has difficulty breathing, supply 100% oxygen.
(4) Remove or isolate contaminated clothing and shoes.
(5) In case of contact with PCP, immediately flush skin or eyes with water for at least 20 minutes, and avoid spreading to uncontaminated skin in case of trace skin contact.
(6) Keep the patient warm and quiet. Do not induce vomiting when the patient is unconscious
(7) Make sure that paramedics are aware of PCP and have taken protective measures.
