2. Welding tools
Welding tools refer to tools used for electric welding. Mainly: electric soldering iron; Electric air gun; Iron shelf.
(1) electric soldering iron:
Function: Used for manual welding, repair welding, maintenance and replacement of components of various radio products.
Working principle: After the heating wire in the soldering iron core is electrified, the electric energy is converted into heat energy, and the heat is transferred to the workpiece to be welded through the welding head, which heats the metal at the welding point and melts the solder at the same time, thus completing the welding task.
Classification of electric soldering irons: According to the heat transfer mode, it can be divided into internal heating electric soldering irons and external heating electric soldering irons, as shown in Figures 2. 17 and 2. 18. An internally heated electric soldering iron consists of a soldering iron core, a soldering head, a spring clip, a connecting rod, a handle, a terminal post, a power cord and a fastening screw. Its thermal efficiency is high (up to 85% ~ 90%), the temperature of the welding head is fast, the volume is small and the weight is light. But the service life is shorter (compared with the external heating type). The specifications of internal heating electric soldering iron are mostly low power, such as 20W, 25W, 35W, 50W, etc. The components of the external heating electric soldering iron are the same as those of the internal heating electric soldering iron, but the welding head of the external heating electric soldering iron is installed inside the soldering iron core, that is, the soldering iron core that generates heat energy is outside the welding head, so it is called the external heating electric soldering iron. The advantages of external heating electric soldering iron are durability, long service life, stable working temperature for a long time, and not easy to burn components during welding, but its volume is large and the temperature rises slowly.
