What is an Introductory Essay

Introduction, refers to the beginning of the book or thesis to explain the main idea and content of the part.

I. The task of the introductory chapter is to give an account of one's choice of topic, the main direction of the dissertation, the process and situation of the literature search (i.e., what has already been done in this regard by previous authors), the aspects of one's dissertation that are innovative (or organized), the research methodology used, the general structure of the dissertation, as well as any other issues about the dissertation that need to be explained.

Second, the requirements for the writing of the introductory essay

1, the preface should be open to the point, quickly into the topic.
