The eight large-scale "wings" of the Grand Theater, which form the main architectural image of the building, are combined with a stepped stone base.
Standing next to this massive building, which covers 101.5 acres and is over 50 meters high, the Wuxi Grand Theatre project was developed by internationally renowned architects. The Wuxi Grand Theater project was completed by the design team of the internationally renowned design firm PES Architects of Finland in cooperation with the Shanghai Architectural Design and Research Institute.
Five of the eight "blades" cover the main auditorium, which can accommodate more than 1,700 people, and three cover the multi-functional auditorium, which can accommodate more than 700 people. The two sets of "blades" are organically combined with the main entrance hall in the center and covered with glass roofs. This combination successfully divides the building into two parts, one for the main entrance on Jinshi Road in the south of the city and the other for the future subway entrance. The entrance hall and foyer are open towards Li Lake and the western part of the city. The main entrance road on the south side of the building will have two entrances to the first floor public **** parking area, bus parking area and cab waiting area. There will be a walkway around the building on the first floor and on each of the 6-meter-high plinths, and a lakeside walkway along the lake.
