Teflon is Polytetrafluoroethylene material.
Teflon tube is made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE commonly known as Teflon, plastic king) material. Polytetrafluoroethylene extrusion sintering, after drying, high-temperature sintering, shaping and other processes and made of special tubing.
Poly tetrafluoroethylene (Poly tetra fluoroethylene, abbreviated as PTFE), commonly known as "plastic king", is a tetrafluoroethylene as a monomer polymerization of polymers. It is white waxy, semi-transparent, excellent in heat and cold resistance, and can be used for a long time at -180-260C. This material is characterized by resistance to acids, alkalis and various organic solvents, and is almost insoluble in all solvents.
Teflon characteristics
1, non-sticky: almost all substances do not bond with PTFE coated film. Very thin film also shows good non-stick properties.
2, heat resistance: PTFE coated film has excellent heat and low temperature resistance properties. It can withstand high temperature up to 300℃ for a short period of time, and generally can be used continuously between 240℃~260℃. It has remarkable thermal stability, it can work under freezing temperature without brittleness, and does not melt under high temperature.
3, sliding: PTFE coated film has a low coefficient of friction. The coefficient of friction changes when the load slides, but the value is only between 0.05-0.15.
4, moisture resistance: PTFE coated surface is not stained with water and oil, the production operation is not easy to stain the solution, such as a small amount of dirt, a simple wipe can be removed. Short downtime, save working hours and improve work efficiency.
