In September this year, Sinopec Health Express went to the old revolutionary area of Jinzhong, Shanxi Province, and is currently performing sight-restoring surgeries for 598 impoverished cataract patients in the old area, with plans to cure more than 1,000 cataract patients free of charge. As of Jinzhong station, SINOPEC has invested nearly 120 million yuan in 10 years to help the Health Express go to 26 poor areas in China, such as Kashgar in Xinjiang, Jiuquan in Gansu, Nagchu in Tibet, Qianxinan in Guizhou, Chuxiong in Yunnan, Ledu in Qinghai, Mianzhu in Sichuan, Yinchuan in Ningxia, Yulin in Guangxi, Songyuan in Jilin and so on ****29 stations, and cured more than 30,000 impoverished cataract patients free of charge.
It is reported that the surgical success rate of Sinopec Health Express is over 99.9%, which is comparable to that of a tertiary hospital in a first-tier city in China. The medical equipment on the train is first-class, and the doctors are cataract experts from top hospitals in Beijing, Guangdong, Tianjin, etc. Not only do they send light, but they also leave a "health express train" for the local area by training doctors and donating medical equipment, etc. Since 2004, SINOPEC has donated funds to build the Xinjiang micro-ophthalmology surgical training center, which has been operating in Guilin, Guangxi, Guizhou, Hunan and Jiangsu provinces. Up to now, Sinopec has donated 9 cataract treatment centers in Guilin, Guangxi, Kashi, Xinjiang, Mianzhu, Sichuan, and Haidong, Qinghai.
