The card is produced by the Suzhou Civil Affairs Bureau, and the Suzhou Citizen Card Co., Ltd. cooperates with the selected card-issuing banks to produce the card according to the relevant technical standards, and it is issued to the household and resident population of the city who are 60 years old and above.
If a social security card is lost or stolen, the cardholder should immediately apply for a lost card. Losses are divided into verbal (temporary) losses and written (official) losses.
In the case of verbal (temporary) loss, it can be handled through the human resources and social security department outlets, "12333" telephone, online service channels, and also through the cooperative commercial bank outlets, telephone banking, online banking channels.
Written (formal) losses must be handled separately at human resources and social security department outlets and cooperative commercial bank outlets.
The conditions for the replacement of social security cards are:
1. The cardholder accidentally loses the social security card;
2. The social security card surface is defaced, mutilated and illegible;
3. The social security card can't be read or written normally on the card reading equipment.
