How to calibrate the oscilloscope
1) Oscilloscope calibration steps (a) Plug in the oscilloscope's power cord, turn on the power switch, the power indicator is on, and when the scanning line appears, adjust the brightness to the appropriate position and adjust the focus control so that the scanning line is the thinnest. (b) Adjust the baseline knob so that the scan line is parallel to the horizontal scale. (c) Turn the fine/extended control switch knob clockwise to the calibration position. In order to avoid measurement errors, the probe pole should be checked and calibrated before measurement. Calibration method is: the probe is connected to the oscilloscope calibration square wave output, adjust the compensation capacitance of the calibration hole on the probe level, until the square wave displayed on the screen is a flat top. (d) The volt / degree selector switch, operating mode switch, scan time selector switch, according to the size of the signal under test, the need and frequency on the appropriate position. (e) The input coupling switch is placed in the "GND" position to determine the location of the zero level. And then placed in the "AC" position, the probe input signal under test, adjust the synchronization switch knob, so that the waveform is stable, observe the signal waveform on the screen in the vertical direction to show the amplitude of the measured signal voltage V / DIV and display the degree of the product; when using the 10:1 input probe, the screen to display the amplitude of the value of × 10. (2) Matters to be noted in the use of the oscilloscope (a) Measurement, do not place the instrument in the vicinity of a strong magnetic field to use. (b) The amplitude of the measured signal should not exceed the voltage resistance value specified for each input of the oscilloscope to prevent burning out the amplifier of the oscilloscope. (c) The case of the oscilloscope should be suspended during testing to avoid short circuit. (d) The AC voltage value measured by the oscilloscope is peak-to-peak. (e) The test line should be as short as possible, the probe should be close to the point under test, otherwise it may cause waveform distortion.
